Ruth Green
Ruth Green was born in 1971, and is a Birmingham-based artist who has a BA (Hons) in Printed Textiles from Liverpool John Moores University, and a Post Graduate Diploma and Master of Arts (Printed Textiles), University of Central England, Birmingham.
Between 1992 and 2007 Ruth has exhibited her work at galleries and design centres across the UK, including the The City Gallery in Leicester, the Park View Gallery in Birmingham and at the Battersea and Brighton art fairs. She has received the Independent Artists Grant from The Arts Council.
Ruth currently works as a freelance textiles designer from her studio in Kings Heath, Birmingham, and she also produces paintings and prints for galleries and private clients. Her work is published by the Art Group, and by Ikea, and her influences include Lucienne Day, Terence Conran, and glass and ceramics from the 60s and 70s.
